About 559Fences

A family-rooted, licensed fence contractor building for Fresno, Clovis, and the surrounding Valley.

The 559Fences Story

Lukus Ruiz started out building fences alongside his family. Helping friends rebuild theirs came next, and that's when the work turned into a calling rather than just a job he happened to be good at.

His background is in Central Valley agriculture and construction, and it shapes how he approaches every fence he builds today. Growing up around both trades taught him what holds up under real conditions, like triple-digit summer heat and heavy winter fog, and what falls apart within a season or two. He founded 559Fences three years ago, and has been local to the Fresno area the entire time. He is not a crew that drives in from out of town for one job and disappears afterward without a way to reach them.

Our Approach to Every Fresno Fence

  • Lukus builds every fence as if it were going up on his own property, not just a job to finish and move on from as quickly as possible.
  • The goal on every job is simple: make the fence outlast the others on the block, whether that block is in central Fresno or out toward the foothills.
  • He handles the steps other crews sometimes skip, like proper post depth, correct hardware, and careful picket spacing, because those details are what make a fence last through Fresno's heat and winter moisture.
  • A small, hands-on crew keeps quality control tight and communication direct. Property owners talk to the person actually building their fence, not a rotating cast of subcontractors or a call center.

How 559Fences Handles Every Job, Start to Finish

  1. Reach out by phone or online. Most inquiries get a same-day response.

  2. Lukus visits your property in person to measure and talk through style options.

  3. You get a written estimate based on your actual project, not a phone guess.

  4. We schedule the work and complete it on the agreed timeline.

  5. A final walkthrough confirms the finished fence meets your expectations before we call the job done.

Licensed & Insured Fresno Fence Contractor

  • Licensed C-13 and General B contractor, which covers both specialty fencing work and general building projects across the service area.
  • Insured with workers' compensation and general liability coverage, protecting property owners if anything goes wrong during the job.
  • Every qualifying job is backed by a 5-year structural warranty covering leaning, falling, or structurally unsound fencing, plus a 30-day picket warranty for pickets that warp, settle, crack, or malfunction in any way.

The Properties We Build Fences For

559Fences works with homeowners, businesses, and government clients across the Fresno–Clovis area. That range of clients means the crew is equally comfortable quoting a backyard privacy fence and a larger commercial perimeter job. The crew speaks both English and Spanish on the job, so language isn't a barrier to getting a clear estimate, asking questions, or understanding the scope of work before it starts.

Life Outside 559Fences

When Lukus isn't building fences, he's spending time with family, traveling, working on projects at home, or volunteering with Habitat for Humanity. That mix of family time and hands-on volunteer work reflects the same values that show up in how he treats every fencing job, whether it's a small repair or a full property line install.

Serving Fresno, Clovis & the Surrounding Valley

559Fences serves Fresno, Clovis, Madera, Sanger, Kingsburg, Kerman, Reedley, Friant, Coarsegold, and Oakhurst, generally within 35 to 40 miles of Fresno. This range stretches from Valley floor communities to Sierra foothill towns, each with its own terrain and climate quirks that factor into how a fence gets planned and built. Jobs farther out may include a travel fee, confirmed during the estimate before any work is scheduled.

Fresno Fence Contractor FAQs

How long has 559Fences been in business?

Three years, all of it based in the Fresno area. Lukus has been building on family land far longer than that.

Who owns the company?

Lukus Ruiz owns and runs it. He works the job sites himself rather than sending a crew out alone.

Do you use subcontractors?

No. The same small crew handles the work from first call to final walkthrough, so the person who quotes the job is the person who builds it.

What licenses do you hold?

A C-13 fencing license and a General B contractor license, both held in California and confirmed before any quote goes out.

Do you take small jobs, or only full fence lines?

Both. A single leaning post gets the same in-person walkthrough and written estimate as a full property line.

Where is 559Fences based?

Fresno, at 2341 E. Ashlan Ave, Fresno, CA 93726. The crew works out of Fresno daily rather than driving in from another region.
